From my experience, Red Lobster never learned how to properly prepare the classic Fish & Chips dish.  What I received was an overcooked, dry, flat piece of fish  that was quite unappetizing.  Either R.L. should learn how to make it or else remove the dish from the menu.

Cost would certainly be a factor of dropping beef sales but I believe many people are just opting out of beef for health reasons.  Beef is increasingly being targeted as a health hazard.  But I guess it's llke anything else, "all things in moderation". Hmmm, is vegetarianism growing?

Dollar food or no dollar food it's just possible people no longer care for Mcdonalds.  I see plenty of restaurants doing a great business, everything from ethnic food to down home cookin',  This chain franchise and it's plastic assembly line food doesn't fare well with more educated tastes.

Sufficient that there is buying activity of homes in most states, albeit not as strong as we might like.  The activity is  somewhat spotty and the states do not share equally in it.  Since Texas never went crazy on home prices as the coastal states did during the bubble, it never suffered to the degree of those states....more
