UPS increases rates for 2012

How can UPS and FedEx keep raising rates 5.9% each and every year.   They do more to harm the economy than anything else I can think of.    They make more businesses go belly up than any other factor.      Geez, don't you wish you could just raise your prices 5.9% each 1st Monday of the new year.
