Labor shortage slows homebuilding

I lived in Abilene, TX and I know what you're talking about. There are very few jobs in TX that you can get that don't require Spanish. Also, most construction jobs don't have any benefits at all. They don't have set or secure hours because they're weather dependent.

I don't get it either. Part of the GDP is housing starts. What about all the houses that have been forclosed on in the past 5 years or so? Why are they building more??? Especially when no one's buying????

This is one reason ID theft is so high...they steal valid social security numbers and give them to illegals so they can obtain work. You can't find out anything about anyone using your number because of "privacy policies". I got a letter from the IRS wanting taxes and interest and late fees for $10,000 in income they...more

Labor shortage slows homebuilding

It's the same everywhere; companies cry that there's no skilled workers to take the jobs, but they don't want to pay much more than minimum wage for at least 5 years if not more experience to even qualify. They whine to the government and the government and the government grants work visas to migrants who'll come over ...more

I am 5'7" and wear a size 18/20. I wouldn't wear one of these. I really don't have rolls and rolls of fat, but I am larger. I think one-pieces are sexier depending on the style!

Yay!!! That's a big F.U. right back at American Idol who voted her off the "island". She's one of the very few who's done anything whether winning the show or not.
