If I can give anyone a suggestion: don't sell on Ebay, or Craigslist or any other online site. It's a waste of time, and it's all but ruined the process. You will be better off finding an appraiser, someone who will help you find the best deal.
I just started collecting the Hess toys. They're hard to find on the market at a good price.
I would advise you to hold onto them for a little while longer. Once you have them for about 20 years you will see their value rise.

You are correct, Wayne. You can blame Mattel for that. Especially with the Treasure Hunt scam. On the online auction sites I see people asking $20 or more (even$200!) for a recently released treasure hunt model that only cost $1.00, while claiming they are rare and hard to find.
