What kind of cards are these people using? I never heard of a card, credit or debit that would let that kind of charge go through!
Also, it didn't happen to me but a few years back a chain of gas stations were over charging by tampering with their pumps. They knew the inspectors only check for pump accuracy up to 5...more
If I were going to invest in a high MPG vehicle, I would definitely go diesel.
It's a proven, simplistic design getting comparable mileage to the hybrids but without the extra weight and planed obsolesce of having to replace a battery pack in x number of miles/years or sell the car for next to nothing.

Here's how the tests work. Cars are placed on a dynamometer (a treadmill of sorts)
No wonder the results are always high... No factor for wind resistance.
Why not just drive the vehicle and crunch the numbers? Because then we would see the true mileage instead of what the manufactures want us to believe.
Why hasn't any manufacturer developed a solar powered air conditioning system for cars parked in the sun? The technology already exists (percolate refrigerant with heat). It wouldn't completely cool the car, but 85 would sure beat 140!
Also... LCD darkening window glass. It would work like an auto-darkening welding...more
After posting I reread the article and noticed the reference was to the "Hebrew Bible". I pulled one up online and it appears to say the same as my NIV (just add a few thees and thous)...
I guess Hollywood plays by their own rules. I've learned never to trust anything Discovery Chanel has to say about the Bible!
Good advise, learned some new tactics...
A few things I would add are:
Keep your suspension repaired and aligned, both front and rear. (But be careful who you let do the alignment. Sadly a lot of shops want to sell unnecessary parts, leave things loose, and have no idea how an alignment should be done!)

"His death postponed the great flood by seven days, a reprieve that God allowed in recognition of his strong moral character."
Sorry, I'm not finding this in the Bible. Maybe I've overlooked it, but the only mention I see of "seven days" is the time it took to get the arc loaded with the animals (Gen 7:4).

I guess they think they have to do what they have to do to cut expenses, but the problem with this plan is all the truly skilled and useful employees will simply leave for greener pastures... Leaving the city with only the desperate remnant.
I bet when this smoke screen clears there will still be plenty of wasted gove...more
I think we're looking at a technology boom in the auto industry. As new ideas gain popularity we'll soon see them as required equipment, as in rear view cameras, etc. Competition and m****duction of these items will eventually drive down prices.
I particularly like the concept of vehicles communicating with each other...more
