i think what he is doing is commendable. As long as he is not doing it to enrich himself, let him be. BTW the reason people dislike Microsoft is they write buggy overpriced software. They used to have damn near a monopoly but people can now use OS X or Linux. Linux mint is free and a much better OS in my opinion.

I agree that a cat is a good option, especially a female cat. Early every winter I hear a commotion down cellar and i know the cat has found an intruder and dealt with it.

When replacing a light switch make sure you know if it's a simple on-off switch or a 3 way (has 3 wires on it). If it's a 3 way switch one of the screws is usually a different color, make sure that wire goes onto the right screw on the replacement switch or it's not gong to work right.
