I took a 50% pay cut a few years ago, and I'm still just as happy as I was back then.  Maybe a little more stressed, but still happy.  Life is what you make of it I guess.

This is false.  Though a check engine light can come on for a multitude of reasons, the most common include issues with sensors and/or fuel mixture.  Fixing these small problems prevents major ones later on, and can also save money on gas.

If you don't like working holidays, get a different job.  I did.

What do you expect?  It's a giant company that has become afraid to go out on a limb. We should expect nothing more from them.

This happened to me.  I have no idea whether I own shares or not.  I guess I need to switch to a "real" brokerage like Merrill Lynch.
