I wonder how many of the commentators bothered to actually read the article.  Obama's proposal doesn't reduce Ms. Witherspoon's current benefit level, nor does it deny her future COLA increases.  It simply proposes to reduce projected future increases by a total of $60 per year.  Is that really such a problem?
