Buy GE brand of CFL bulbs for the longest life and whiter light. Do not buy Sunbeam brand CFL bulbs. They do not last as long and the light becomes more yellow as they age. I don't feel that the CFL bulbs give off the light of a 60 watt bulb. So I buy the ones rated to give off 75 or 100 watts to get the amount of light that you need. They use a little more wattage but you still save money and also get enough light for your needs.
