The way our elections are run makes third parties almost impossible.  If we had proportional representation, like many other democracies do, third parties might work.  Then, if a party got 7% of the vote, they'd get 7% of the representatives in congress.  Now, 7% of the vote gets you nothing.

I have never been overweight, my BMI is around 25, and I am over 70, but I have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and am borderline diabetic.  For that matter, when I was 23, I also had all that, and my BMI at that time was around 20.

If anyone thinks their doctors are their friends is sadly fooled.  Doctors are out for the money.  That's what is driving up our health care costs.

As a cat owner, and friend, I think I'd find another vet.  This one doesn't seem to like cats very much.

Depends on what you like.,  Taxes buy services, services lacking in places with lower taxes.
