What about your contribution limits?  If you have a good investment selection then you are crazy to not take advantage of an employer match.  The match will pay for all of the fees plus give you more.  If the investment options are right then it is a no brainer.  Maximize the match at least and then you can start an IR...more

The real key with Plan expenses comes down to getting rid of the insurance companies as platform providers (John Hancock, Nationwide, Principal, Prudential... etc.).  They say they do not charge a fee, lets be honest does a company ever succeed if they never make any money?  Better yet who would do all of that work for...more

I never saw any mention of getting rid of the insurance platform provider (John Hancock, Nationwide, Principal) that have the biggest conflict of interest.  They will put expensive funds on the platform so that they can make more money for themselves through the revenue share of the mutual funds.  The best part about i...more
