She's just retreading an old subject. Every so often, someone starts blaming violence on  television, music, video games or some other thing and until a concrete and indisputable link is found, it will be blown off as just another sensationalistic puff piece.

I really hope that she can get the help she needs and reverse this downward spiral she seems to be going through.

I'd clean up my credit, buy a new car and house, and then whatever's left would go in the bank to be part of my current monthly budget. It's depressingly practical but at this stage, I'd rather not splurge unless I was sure it wasn't going to bite me in the rear.

It's hard to feel a lot of sympathy for her situation since she lucked into more money than a lot of people will ever see in a lifetime. Hopefully, she's learned a lesson about money management and has set up a budget so she can stretch whatever income she now has.
