Hey...obviously, they're pals.  I had a dog, a cockatiel and  my daughter's cat.  The cat tried to catch the bird every damn day.  The bird would fly down and get between the front paws of the dog and groom the dog, who hated the cat. The dog and bird won, lol, and both outlived the cat.
