Interesting. I am also a builder. I'm 6'2", 250 lbs. with a very healthy BMI. My chest measures at 56", so by the time you include my shoulders, I do not fit well into the miniaturized seats that airlines provide. Do you have a solution to this or do you believe (like many here) that it's my fault for being built l...more
I'm built very similarly to you and agree with you 100%. The only solution I could see would be a system that utilizes both weight and body fat percentage to calculate a fair fare.
Cargo also gets stacked on top of each other in the belly of the plane. Perhaps the airlines should do that as well. They're almost there already as they continue to decrease the size of seats over time.
My body fat percentage is pretty low, yet I'm very broad shouldered. When shopping for suit jackets, I start in the 60" range for shoulders. Thus, such a plan would punish me for having good genes ...more

I am concerned with this as well. GRRM has promised that the books will stay ahead of the show, but I see it as extremely unlikely given the way his reported schedule keeps slipping. Even if they stretch things out by turning a single book into multiple seasons (and how far can you stretch it before it becomes uninte...more
