I think it does teach children about the importance of punctuality. Even though it's not the child's fault, the child will learn that there are consequences for poor attendance and will hold their parents accountable.

Senator: Should hourly minimum wage be $...

I absolutley think min. wage should be $22.25 per hour.  It would be a great incentive for everyone to work, even those dependent on welfare & food stamps.
