Wow I find that so very hard to believe. Every B&N I go into has tons of books. Sometimes they move things around, and sections expand and then shrink but they have the largest selection of books that I read on a regular basis. That said I love going to the store. Store Gift cards are great if you know the person shops at that store. Gamestop, Barnes and Noble, Home Depot, Lowes etc. If the giftee shops there than the card will be used if a fairly quick manner and no need to worry about them expiring or fees being charged. some people enjoy the shopping frenzy even if they are not spending big bucks, or any money at all. It's a fun day, or so they say. You won't catch me at the stores at 5am. There are no bargains so great that I'll rush to be in the stores at that hour. BUt good luck and enjoy to those who do go!
Yes, some states do have mandatory insurance requirements. In NY you must have at least liability insurance to register your car. If your drop your insurance the carrier informs the motor vehicle bureau who in turn suspends your license.
