There is plenty to do in Philadelphia over the 4th of July, but the humidity can be unbearable (the Barnes Foundation in the fall like the author states is much better). Yellowstone and Alaska are on my hit list.
The parks of Paris and NYC are amazing . . .When I lived in Philadelphia I was blown away by the Wissahickon-it has to be seen to be believed-almost 2,000 acres and over 5 miles on a river, covered bridge, 19th century inn, tons of deer, fox, hawks, awesome trails for running and biking . . . In order to succeed, kids need to fail. They need to be told they are wrong (when thay are). They need to pay consequences. Accountability apparently means everyone else needs to be accountable.
Sound advice in theory. However, my wife and I do a great job of living on our paychecks with more money taken out and then use our tax 'bonus' to pay for our summer vacation.
