I worked in the same block as The Dubliner in D.C.  I used to drop in after work sometimes on Fridays.  But on St. Patrick's Day?  Forget it ... strictly amateur's night - green beer and drunk students from nearby Georgetown University's law school.  And, yes, I AM Irish.  Erin Go Braugh!

Y'know the only thing these mergers tell me: the "big guns" put these deals together, screw the workers, take the cash, and run.  Which leaves the employees out of work, the economy weaker, and the one percenter's just getting richer ... and they aren't even that bright ...  But they're good con-men and -women.  This c...more

Okay, my brothers .... let me give you an idea of outrageous rent: Chester County, PA.  Approximately 30 miles west of Philly.  Never seen so many Mercedes/Beemer convertibles in one place - other than Bal Harbour, FL - in my life.  One bedroom apt., approximately 550 sq. ft., no dishwasher for $850 a month.  In additi...more

Anyone here been to downtown Philly recently?  Rent is outrageous.  You can still find somewhat reasonable rent in the greater Baltimore area, but D.C. - FORGET IT!!!

I think it largely depends on the particular Best Buy store.  There are two in my area.  One has a reputation for rotten service and rude salespeople.  I went there one time, and it was a terrible experience.  Since then, I have gone to another Best Buy and had nothing but good experiences.  The good store?  Nobody com...more
