a realtor working for the buyer has an obligation to help the buyer. a home inspector has an obligation to find out what is wrong with the house and works for the buyer. Neither wants to "screw the sale up", The realtor does not get a dime unless the home sells. get your facts straight before you post.

If you bought the house, you actually bought the property it is sitting on. There should have been a legal description with the deed. I have bought and sold plenty of real estate and never bought "space". What ARE you talking about?

This IS one you better know before you buy. It may be trivial but it may be an entire system. A home inspector may not give this the attention it deserves. MM2, do a little research. This stuff is NOT gasoline. Think living in a box that has been soaked in ammonia, lye, chlorine and about a dozen other super corrosive and deadly chemicals. It is real and it is deadly.

No, I can assure you a home inspector will NOT accept this liability. Home inspectors will check for structural, mechanical and visual issues.
