It's all right calling these people idiots because they gave some foreign company all their information.  Some of you are forgetting where your Social Security call center is.  Yes it's in India, and the government has provided the call center with all of your SS numbers, addresses and phone numbers.

A lot of people obviously do respond to these messages.  The Nigerian scams are still making money and with this one people are worried they see reports on the news about the economy and bank collapses.  So some people out of sheer panic about what little they have left in a bank may just seize on this.
