Heartwarming, yeah, but those big dogs don't live long.  Gonna be one sad 9 or 10 year old when the dog has to be put to sleep.

I'd like this article a lot more if it could follow its own methods.  In the temperature example, 50F does in fact equal 10C, and a change of 5C does in fact equal "about" 10F (actually 9F).  But then it gives an example of 15C, which is one change of 5C above 10C, hence one change of 10F above 50F, or 60F.  Not 65F.  ...more

10 industries fading away - US economy

"How many people do you know who still have a landline"?  Well, according to this article's statistics, 75% of them still do.  The trend may be negative, but 75% of all households is still pretty good market penetration.  It's not like we landliners are hard to find.  Toss 4 rocks and you'll hit 3 of us.

I think the cameraman spoiled it at the end -- possibly on purpose.  The only reason the dog figured out the wolf wasn't real was because the human walked around in FRONT of the wolf, and since the wolf didn't react to the now-visible human being, the dog realized the wolf wasn't real.  There's no telling how long it w...more
