I agree with you 100%.  I also have a black cat, Pyewacket that I have raised since she was 5 weeks old (now 8 yr).  She is my whiny baby who allows me to wrap my arms around her and rest on her.  She always has to be touching me.  I will always have a black cat for a pet until the day I die!

The animal rescue group I volunteered with for two years, made it a standard practice to not adopt any of our black cats during the month of October.  We did this as a precaution and when we explained why to potential adopters, no one ever had a problem; everyone understood we did that in the best interest of the cats....more
