The prison has to allow him to practice his religion, but they do not have to provide him with the "equipment" he needs in order to do so. If a prisoner has a rosary, it isn't because the prison gave it to him/her. The prison owes this a$$hat nothing.

I think the prison's only obligation is to provide a space in which to worship. If you require special "equipment," (cake???) tough luck. As Psyche said, this is prison; not Club Med.
