&%@*#! Cursing may derail your raise

Beware, too, of a steady diet of bad words. Get in the habit of popping off too regularly and something may accidentally slip out in front of, say, your mom.   Or your grandkids causing thier parents (your kids) to limit your time w/them.

Yahoo move casts shadow over telecommuti...

IMHO, I think this is going to backfire BIG TIME.  The new CEO IS going to lose her best people.  They can easily get comparable/better jobs elsewhere.    Some employees will NOT want to undertake a HUGE commute or live too far away to be a commuter.  Some employees will have spouses employed near where they live an...more

I do this ALL the time.  Did it when I worked FT = lunches.  Do it now that I am retired = less days I MUST cook.  All in all = less food waste, less gas/electric used, less water used (clean up) and saves a BUNCH of my time.  Definate INTENDED consequence.   I ALWAYS, ALWAYS check the produce, meat, grocery & gene...more

9 dangerous financial products

My longest CD is 5 yr w/a VERY low early withdrawal penalty.  I am nearly 2 years in & have had NO reason to exercise the ‘escape’ clause.   I have also begun keeping a LOT more money in a money market account.  The rate is 5-10 basis points below what 1-2 year CCDs are offering.   I do NOT & never have participa...more
