Why is the reporter making it a big deal that the movie theatres are open? Most theatres remain open every single day, regardless of holiday.

This morning. A manager in another dept. screwed up big time with a customer and will cost the company a lot of money. The managers response: uh, I just wasn't paying attention. That's when I lost it. I was the one who had to call the customer and explain why there was a screw up.
