Memo to Mitt: American taxes already low

Um, I hate to break it to you, but it's not 1962.  I think tax policy may have changed a bit in the last 50 years...

Where your lost luggage goes

It seems like the airlines should be able to connect people who lose their luggage to the more unusual items, at least.  I would think that a lost $10,000 ring would have someone filing a claim for it.  Why can't they put 2 and 2 together and return it to the rightful owner?

US 'in better shape' before Obama

This woman is clearly a moron. Also, it's a classic example of I've got mine (Medicare), screw you to the under 50 crowd that will be stuck with vouchers that might pay 10% of your health insurance premiums once we get old enough to really need health insurance.  Hey, I'm sure getting 75% of our promised SS benefits wi...more

What's wrong with the 'Buffett rule'

Raising taxes on the wealthy would nudge them towards reinvesting their earnings instead of pulling them out all the time.  This grows the economy long-term, making things better for everyone.

This is disgusting.  A generation or two ago, a barely literate person could walktz into a factory and immediately get a great paying job, with a pension and great benefits.  Now, kids with bachelor's and master's degrees can barely get a min. wage job, or part-time job with no benefits.  Whose fault is that????   ...more
