Perhaps it was the 10th time they were called to her home for the child - that would warrant the fine. One of those annoying little details that always seem to get left out.  When all else fails, charge money!

Once again I have to say that there must be more to this story.  Sounds ridiculous from all angles, so there must be another angle.

Maybe his close relatives - or maybe other Wiccans?? - can provide his religious needs.  But not tax dollars.

Mathematical Technicians?  Really?  That's the quadratic formula he's got up on that board - 10th grade math!  As for the article itself - sometimes you refer to 'take home' pay and sometimes 'earn' or 'paid' - are we supposed to be able to compare these figures??

How to prevent infidelity?  Don't marry jerks (male or female)!
