Why don't we just have a flat tax of 18-22% with no write-off's or capital gains for every individual, that way no one is treated different.  If money comes to you from work or profit from an investment or sale, you set aside 18-22% and everyone pays.  Tell me that would not increase the overall amount of money coming ...more
