I believe that Ramsay says start with a $1000 emergency fund.  He also goes on to state that you save up 6 months of living expenses.

Agree IowaAmigo. The jist is the same though.  Online sales w/o sales tax hurts all business including mom and pop shops....whether its thru Amazon, Walmart or any other online business.  Also agree that in general, we are overtaxed.  Another issue with sales tax is that are getting to be so many exemptions, those comm...more

Another case of people wanting something for nothing.  "I don't want to pay sales tax or shipping" but I want good roads, public safety etc.  States without sales tax are usually the ones with outrageous property taxes and.........they don't take advantage of tourist dollars coming in to buy.
