My Aunt died when she was born from this in the 1930's. This little girl is the only one I've heard about who lived as long as she had with no treatment. I hope it doesn't effect her ability to live a long and normal life.

These kids are very lucky the guy didn't die.

This type of accident happens way too often.
These kids need to wear a protective chest plate to prevent this type of accident when playing ball.
The chest plate doesn't need to be heavy or bulky, just enough to protect the sternum.
