You do realize Reagan did the same thing in the 80's too...except there were no requirements like going to college or serving in the military that time.

I live in Texas where it is much cheaper to live and no Income Tax, but our property tax on a $150,000 home is almost $4000 per year. So taxes per $100 valuation are actually higher. Although my $150,000 home is probably comparable to your $650,000 home in NJ.
