All I can ever think of whenever anyone tries to predict the end of the world is something like this:
"The world is going to end....NOW.......NOW.....................nnnnnnNOW...........NOW...NOW!!!...........................................nnnnOW!!!"
And so on....
"We went out and looked at houses; we found one that was for sale or rent, and the Realtor suggested that we rent."
Two thoughts - First, If the realtor suggests renting over buying, chances are that is the better way to go, financially speaking - they're most likely forfeiting a lot of commission earnings with you...more
Wow, $80 a month for the insurance?! Considering it's a department store card and probably has a sky-high interest rate attached to it, and the monthly repayment amount they're paying, it likely would have been a MUCH better use of the money to just boost their monthly repayment amount by $80.
