I agree with both your points, especially if they responded defensively to criticism. I guess I just had no idea that Ellen DeGeneres would still be such a controversial public figure. To me, the lifestyle choices of some TV personality are a non issue. It's not like she's running for office or something.

This is the first I'm hearing about some perceived "Gay Agenda" from JC Penney. Seems to me a lot of people need to get over themselves if they change their shopping habits because they don't like that Ellen is the spokesperson of the month.
