Wal-Mart is running out of excuses

Maybe at long last the economy will shift somehow instead of being dependent on people running up credit card debt to buy cheap Chinese junk at big boxe stores like Walmart. One can only hope.

There's none near me so that means driving way over town to get to one. In all fairness I should say I was able to get what I wanted the last time I went but I mainly waited on myself as I usually do in most stores. The check out line was kind of long but I get through in about 15 minutes so that was no big deal.

More Americans than ever using food stam...

There is a new harsh economic bifurcation now. For the properly skilled and educated there is an improving job market but for today's equivalent of yesterday's ditch diggers there is very little to nothing at all. We have this new permanent underclass and well there's no real place for them.

I see no strength in this economic "recovery" at all. As has been pointed out, spending is up because prices are up which points to a deflated dollar.
