The reason for most people's wrath at Bernake isn't about what he's doing or not doing right now. It's that he and Geitner and Summers and the rest of the Goldman Sachs crowd ought to all be in jail. It's criminal that these guys are/were in charge of the economy in the first place.
No matter what he says he's just an expensive puppet for the wealthy elite. What he's really saying is that he "will do ANYTHING to protect the wealthy class and see that they feel no pain" - screw the working man - he doesn't make campaign contributions or give legislators gravy jobs after their gov't work is over.

How come the rest of Africa (other than South Africa) was ingnored for this story. Liberia in West Africa is developing as a very attractive place to retire. (Could there be a racial bias at work??)
