I would think this through.  If you give up American residency and retire elsewhere, you might very well forfeit any entitlements you've paid into such as Social Security and Medicare. However if you are 32, you have plenty of time to think about this :-)  Those programs may no longer exist by the time you reach 60,...more

Why the stimulus can never stop

Here's what I find very troublesome.  It's uncanny to give one person like Bernanke so much power like that.  I mean the cronies closest to him can profit from insider trading like you wouldn't believe.  It's pretty evident to me that the way this game is played, the insiders (i.e. those closest to Bernanke and his pol...more

I've been a single homeowner for 9 years now.  I live in a smaller town where property is cheaper and a lot more affordable on a single income. If I lived in a big city, I'd really think twice about single home ownership.  I believe in living close to work, so I figure if I'm going to buy something smaller in the ci...more

In other words, to make any money in the collectibles games pretty much requires that you become extremely knowledgeable (as to what's out there) and this means spending a lot of time doing market research, going to shows, meeting other people.  This kind of work CANNOT be done in a vaccuum. Trust me, I know. BTDT....more

Are the rich cutting in line at Disney W...

Last and only time I was at Disneyworld was in 1980.  I was a kid.  I remember we had to park the car so far from the front entrance a trolly train was required to get to the gate.  I remember the tour guide commented, on that ride, that Disneyland would fit into the parking lot of Disneyworld.  I believed it. I rem...more
