Try reading my post again. My comment was about taxes on booze have no impact on those who do not drink, ergo, the the alcohol tax has no impact on them.

For years the "plus size" crowd complained that stores discriminated against them by not offering the same options and styles available to the average size...more
It's often more expensive to repair an appliance than to replace it with a new one. Even when it costs less to repair, it's still impractical to put the kind of money it takes to repair a machine that is several years old and likely to break down again.
