Actually on the Brittanic they did; the mine that sank her did catastrophic damage to her fireman's passages. Didn't help that her watertight bulkheads MAY have been propped open.
Actually there will be more icebergs being calved, not fewer. There is no "benefit" to global warming at all! And it was unusually warm in April 101 years ago; ships' captains had to plot courses farther south to skirt the worst of the bergs, pack ice & growlers.
