It's a combination of effects.  Sure profits drive it; but until CEO's found that it was easier managing businesses outside the US our economy prospered.  High tech companies such as HP, Intel and Apple moving operations off shore indicate a loss of technology base which started with the steel, tire and chemical indust...more
