Is all that stuff really worth it? If she would have spent half that money and gave the rest away to a charity it probably would have still been a nice house. It just proves people have to show off because they don't they a character to actually brighten people's lives

This is BS. The costs of printing and shipping a book, not to mention stocking it on shelves and paying people that work at where ever its sold is more that 12% of the cost of the book.
