Cool it ugly575,  westTXRN was brought up the old fashion way which is not wrong but he or she loses on extra benefits that they could gain, but the the point is DON'T CARRY A BALANCE.  PAY IT OFF MONTHLY.

I also have been getting her to set up automatic withdraws for monthly bills from her checking account so she doesn't forget to pay a bill when it comes due.

I also use my credit card for most items I buy if it's over $20 and when I get enouth points I can stay at the Holiday Inn for free when I visit my daughter and grandkids.  I don't carry a balance, I pay it off monthly and I don't have have to pay a annual fee.  Any body who pays cash for everything is stupid.  I've ev...more
