Hmmmm... save outside your workplace plan? Let's see, what should I not pay this month? Gas bill or electric bill? Then I can take THAT $ and stash it away for retirement! Great plan! (where do they find these financial gurus, anyway?)
Obviously, this article is not intended for the typical working class folk. $500,000 portfolio? Save 20% of your gross income? Please! There are some of us who don't have ANYTHING left over at the end of the month to save. How about MSN Money takes a reality check????
Huh~ my needs take up 97% of my budget, so there's nothing left to worry over with the wants and savings part. I guess that's what happens when one takes a 30% pay cut when they finally find a paying job!
A 2% pay hike? Seriously??? After a year of being unemployed, I finally found a job at a 30% pay cut. It's a paycheck, but there will be no pay hike for me, and no additional $ going into my 401k. Le'ts take a reality check here people....
