Why $1 coins haven't caught on

Because absolutely NOBODY wants them! Just as we didn't want any of the previous dollar coins. Just as so many of us would like to do away with the penny coin. What is worse is that people rejected them long before the government spent $Billions making them. We rejected every attempt to foist them on us for decades....more

In many cases it really should be called government assisted theft. When I was in business I had 5 different companies order large amounts of merchandise one week and I got their BKR notice the next week. No judge had anything to say about it other than "too bad, that was a lot of money". Not once did they requir...more

For a few dollars you can buy a conversion calculator, I have one from Radio Shack, and use net weight to compare and get the most for your dollars. It is time to file a class action criminal complaint against the Federal Government for misappropriating $4.7 Trillion that had been pilfered from the SS fund. We should demand that all pay to government officials stop and that all benefits to government employees stop. Demand that all military spending, with the exc...more

Those happy campers in the left lane

The left lane should be for passing only like it is on the Autobahn. At the very least it should only be occupied by cars traveling faster than those to the right. But until such laws are actively enforced things won't change and there will be campers asleep in the left lane.

Schwarzenegger scandal gets 'Law & Order...

It seems like a strange jump for L&O since there were no laws broken and Arnold hasn't been charged with a crime. Usually the show follows known criminal cases that involve either murder or rape, or both. Are they now going to inflate what happened to a violent crime? Certainly they could find better subjects given...more

Lets not forget the reason there will be a shortfall in the first place. The source of the problem dates back almost 60 years. In 1954 President Eisenhower transferred funds from the, supposedly locked, SS Fund account and transferred it into the general fund in order to finance his highway jobs act that built the fr...more
