I spend 350 to 400 dollars on groceries every two weeks. That includes dinners, lunches and breakfast, pet supplies, cleaning supplies, and diapers (I have a two year old). Most of the time the fresh ingredients are more expensive than the premade stuff.
You also have to take into consideration the restaurant prices are per person and the author left that out. The at home prices will feed 4-5 people. *Sighs* still sometimes its nice to eat out now and again and get away from the routine.
