Sirboss:  If McDonalds doesn't have shareholders, who expect a profit, why is it on the NYSE - MCD?   I know some locations are owned by franchisees but McDonalds still sets the menu for all the stores and expects a cut of their profit for the privilege of using the McDonalds name.

McDonalds, like all fast food places, is in the business of makingl money for it's  shareholders.  If an item isn't selling, it isn't making money and it's good bye.
