The unhappiest jobs in America - careers

That's why I left teaching after 8 years. I couldn't do it anymore. I had NO personal life whatsoever, which is probably a good thing because I taught in Florida where I was making just over 40k with a MASTERS degree. And there is NO accountability on the parents' behalf. They're either helicopter parents who want to k...more

If it's in his yard, it's his property and his business. Whatever happened to TOLERANCE - a so-called sentiment that this country was supposed to be built on? Freedom of expression and speech will always be threatened because your average a-hole will always defend his mouth/art but cry offense as someone else's. Honest...more

Qwikster calamity socks Netflix stock

@ Pmanning - the problem is that their streaming, for lack of a better word, sucks. They post one decent/recent dvd release on the streaming site at best. The rest are older movies, which is great, but you have to also have the dvd service to receive the best of both worlds. I was subcribed to both, and when they c...more

Don't forget that the banks get their money from the Federal Reserve. It costs a few cents to print a "federal reserve note", but none of this money is actually backed by a gold standard - it's just paper. The banks are lending paper which has no financially backing, but expects people to pay it back with man labor (ak...more

He now has his out-of-town relatives living in the condo, while the rest of us pick up the expense of the water, cable, etc (which is covered under the association fee). Even worse, they stan...more

Where is this "you buy it you pay for it" coming from? Our own government doesn't even follow that motto! Check out the national debt - it goes up each second because we haven't paid it down in years. When all of you people who think "Walking away" is so morally wrong find your own houses worth half their values and fi...more

Roodles, kudos to you. I cannot believe the number of people who think we have a moral obligation to these banks! Where is their moral obligation to us? Newsflash: they all received BAILOUT money. If the situations were reversed, do you honestly think they wouldn't do the same thing? These banks KNOWINGLY LENDED OUT TH...more

Tentacochallenge,   You should be an artist because you are doing what you love, not for the money. I'm sorry, but as a teacher who works her but off for 40k a year, I have no sympathy for music "Artists" who want to make millions writing lyrics and music (which really isn't even that great) that encourages our yout...more
