It's despicable -- absolutely. That said, he should not be held MORE responsible for this horrible tragedy than someone else who might commit a horrible crime. I tend to agree it's showy and obnoxious.....but the argument (and it's valid) has been made many times -- who is ACTUALLY helping society more?? Someone who donates money to charities or someone who puts money back into the economy through purchasing etc??

The whole point of medical insurance is to have everyone pay monthly in order to protect themselves from insane medical bills should they have a medical issue.
