Stories like this really bug me.  "Down and out on $250,000 a year?"  This just plays on the self-interest of people who are in a position to earn high incomes.  Even in high tax NY their total tax bill still leaves them with $171,724 in disposable income - far more than most Americans.  Their total taxes counting ever...more
