Wow, State Minimums on Liability need to come way up. It appears Alaska and Maine lead the pack with $50K BI/ $100K Aggregate BI per Accident/$25K PD. Anyone reading this knows that it is fairly unlikely to cover a brand new total loss with $25K. However, those two states actually are doing better than the others. I am...more

Heck, when I was young, I cut grass during the Summer & shoveled driveways in the Winter for cash. I don't see many kids doing this today.  Yes, I saved it, but it was not for retirement, but it was used for school clothes & school supplies. Note to Author : Write a column on saving consumer's money on insurance by shopping around, applicable & necessary coverages, raising Comp & Collision Deductibles, Bundling Policies when necessary, ceiling coverage amounts as to protect oneself against Uninsured/ Underindsured accidents.

Rising gas prices take toll on Wal-Mart

83% of Wal-Mart's Suppliers are in the People's Republic of China. Hey Wal-Mart, why don't you try to get things made here in the USA that way it will save on transportation costs. Just a thought Bentonville, Arkansas.
