Does Rhode Island law provide for this punishment? If not the judge has overstepped his authority. What was the driver charged with? Driving to endanger, speeding, The judge should only mete out punishment as provided by law.   A 10 year driving ban seems about appropriate for the severity of the drivers actions....more
